The board itself has a high density waterproof EPS foam core, heat laminated foam deck, and hard IXPE\/XPE slick bottom. Soft-top (foam surfboards) allow the rider more buoyancy while riding a wave &#8211; easier to float and more table to stand up. 7ft and 8ft surfboards are generally viewed as the standard size &#8216;beginner board&#8217; so if you&#8217;ve been wanting to learn to surf then this is the board for you! The foam deck also allows a rider to stand more easily since its not as slippery as a traditional fiberglass board &#8211; wax can be applied to this foam surfboard just like a fiberglass board though for even more grip. Additionally we have added a traction pad to this new 2018 model to really help the rider get strong footing with their back leg once up and riding the wave.
